Research indicates that when students talk about mathematics they gain a deeper understanding of the topic and its various connections and representations. Participants of this workshop will engage in Number and Math talks that help students build mathematical connections and insights that lead to deeper understanding and ultimately increased achievement. New examples for the classroom as well as Number and Math talk ideas and resources will be shared.

Audience: 3rd-6th grade teachers will be the focus, but K-8 are welcome to attend.
